Baby Stevenson

Welcome to this little blog all about the development of baby Stevenson, who is due on 20th March 2010!

Baby at 8 weeks gestation :-)
This week the baby will lose their tail, and this is the last month representing their embryonic stage! The ‘embryo’ can now officially be called a ‘fetus’, which means offspring! The baby is growing a tongue and their brain now should have two distinct hemispheres, the spinal column is formed and obvious…but their head is still attached by chin to their chest!
My first midwife appointment is in 2 weeks, and then hopefully I should have a dating scan soon after. I can’t wait! I want to see the little heartbeat!
