Sleep and sickness!

Hello all!

Well, I tried to make a video yesterday but the sound isn’t working on the camera for some reason…I may post it anyway, we shall see!

Today marks 2 months of Nathan and I being married, and yesterday was the 7 week milestone for BabyStevenson.

Yesterday was good on the nausea front, I didn’t feel too bad at all and kept quite a bit of food down. Today I’ve managed a bowl of coco pops and a bowl of pasta pesto with cheese, which is now threatening reappearance.

HOWEVER this and my sleepiness and tender, enlarging (although not by much, mind!) breasts indicate significant progesterone levels…which is GOOD for establishing and growing baby. God willing this shall continue!

Some of the things you just don’t think would occur in pregnancy are amusing, like darker nipples and urinary infections (which I officially have one now and so am on special preggers antibiotics that make my wee GREEN!).

I’ve been feeling quite dizzy, more so than usual and having read up on it your blood pressure can rather drop in these months of pregnancy…I’ll end up with blood that will not pump if it gets any lower! Haha! When I went for my endoscopy I passed out as I’d had to fast for it and they hooked me up to a monitor which was beeping wildly that my blood pressure was ridiculous! It was rather amusing.

I really want my first midwife appointment to hurry up. I absolutely desperately want to hear the heartbeat, and just have the reassurance that the baby is well and I’m doing OK for it. Impatient Enola…baaaaad!

But yes, continuing to trust it all to God as He knows best, and He’s dealing with my impatience. Interestingly I have no desire to pray away my symptoms at the moment, I thinkĀ  I’m more praying that they mean the baby will want to stay growing inside of me.

Nathan had a fantastic dream the other night in which we had the baby and she was a girl, and she was a few months on and Nathan was playing with her making her laugh by going “Shall we call you…Bananas?!” and she was going hohohoho. So yes, baby’s nickname is now Bananas! Too cute!

I’ve been watching water births on YouTube, as I’d like to have one if everything goes to plan and the pregnancy is uncomplicated. Then again, if it’s twins I will have to completely rethink this and they won’t birth twins in water in this country.

I want to tell the WORLD about my pregnancy now…it’s so exciting and things like Facebook status updates are impossible, because much of what I’ve been doing is….reading my book ABOUT PREGNANACY, feeling sick BECAUSE I’M PREGNANT, having a UTI BECAUSE I’M PREGNANT, getting maternity clothes BECAUSE I’M PREGNANT! And many of these things, like ‘Enola is enjoying her new book’ or ‘Enola is excited’ or ‘Enola is feeling rubbish/queasy/peepsy’ would provoke people to respond as to why, or what am I reading? And then I’d be like…..ummmmmm….well…..

Nathan is rafting again today and then at work in the evening, he’s really loving rafting bless him and he’s being very supportive of ‘poor wife’ at the moment. I love him.

And that’s about it for today, really!
